The beaches of Chios island, as you will conclude, are so many and so different that will be enchanted. Even if you decide to spend all the summer in Chios, you will have the opportunity to visit a different beach each day!
You will find everywhere clear beaches, even so close to the Chios city and Vrontado, such as Bella Vista, Ormos of Lo, Daskolopetra, Afanis Naftis, Tagma in Agia Paraskevi.
A little far from the city, you will find beaches with bright white pebbles, like Giossona, Nago and Gyaliskari found on the northwestern coast near Kardamila. Unique indeed beaches with black pebbles like Mavra Volia in Emporeios. Beaches with sand, such as Karfas, Megas Limnionas, cosmopolitical Komi in south coast. Very close beaches with pebbles, Agios Giannis?Lilikas and Biri.
Coasts with sand and small pebbles, like Agia Fotia and the beaches Glaroi, Mersinidi, a few kilometers south or north of the city. In a distance of 20 km northeastern of the city the beaches, like the Neniton, Bokaria and Gridia.
Numerous and amazing beaches and in the south coast of the island. Driving among bushes and messianic villages that look like castles you will loose the sense of time. Near the villages Meston, Olympon and Pyrgi you will come across the beaches Avlonia, Kato Fana, Agia Dinami, Karinta, Apothika, Salagona, Didima, Broulidia and more…
On the southwest coast the landscape differs! Choose between dozens of small or bigger gulfs with green blue waters and pines grown so close to the beach. Travelling along the shore from Meston village to Volisso you will come across plenty of beaches, such as Agia Eirini, Lithi, Metohi, Tigani, Trahili, Prastia, Magemena, Managro, Elinta, Limnia, Lefkathia, Limno, Lampsa, Agia Markella.
Here you can see the historical island Psara. Despite of its small extent allocates many beaches and as good as Chios’s beaches. Anyway, you should definitely visit Psara! Going northwards you will find beaches with crystal waters like Ezousa, Agios Isidoros, Agios Georgios, Galatou, Agiasmata.
